Howie’s Hearts is owned and operated by Deborah Draffan, and offers gourmet all natural dog treats packaged in signature designer tins for the special pet. The company was named in honor of Deborah’s late father, Howie Draffan, who loved and cared for dogs throughout his lifetime. In memory of her father, Deborah created the treat in the shape of a heart to symbolize the love between a pet and its owner.

The company was founded in 2000 on Howie’s birthday and has since grown to over five million dollars in sales volume with nationwide distribution. The concept behind Howie’s Hearts is to bring a total gift which is pleasing to both pets and their owners. The tins contain all natural heart shaped treats which appeal to even the most finicky dogs.

Featured on the tins is the artwork of renowned artists Jennie Newland and Pam Renfroe. The beautifully designed tins come in various shapes. Our lunch boxes, canisters and bone shaped tins often become collectibles and useful containers for storing pet medications, leashes, collars, etc.

Howie’s Hearts tins are lovingly packaged by individuals with disabilities. We also partner with Puppies Behind Bars, a privately funded, non-profit organization. Puppies Behind Bars trains inmates to raise dogs for the blind and as explosive-detection canines for law enforcement agencies.
